10 WWE Moments We Were Sure Would Happen In 2014 (But Didn’t) 1

1. The Undertaker Going 22-0 At WrestleMania

This is how the conversations went among wrestling fans prior to WrestleMania 30.
“The Undertaker losing at WrestleMania?”
“Nah, that’s never going to happen! Never!”
Then it did. After Brock Lesnar hit that third F5 on The Undertaker the crowd at the New Orleans Superdome didn’t react that loudly because we expected Undertaker to kick out just like he always did. Instead, he stayed down for the 1, 2 and 3. That was it. Streak over. It didn’t feel real, but it absolutely was.
We all saw the reactions to it. The best reaction of them all might have been from Paul Heyman, but at least he knew it was coming. Fans were stunned too. From WWE’s point of view, they couldn’t have written the script better for the crowd shots they got.
There’s no better “we were sure” kind of moment that went in a way we didn’t expect like Undertaker losing to Lesnar at WrestleMania 30. It was a total shock still to this day.
