8. Chris Jericho VS Yuji Nagata
Both men are veterans in their mid-40′s that, while past their primes, are still very good in the ring and still deliver when they wrestle. Both men can work very well as faces or heels, and often do both at the same time. They aren’t strangers to each other, either, having faced off in 1997, when both men were a part of WCW.
Nagata works a much different, stiffer style than Jericho has been used to working with in WWE, but as someone who has plenty of experience all around the world, including Japan, you have to think he would be more than ready for this. In fact, he’d probably step his own game up a bit and use more of the Japan and WCW-era Jericho offense, instead of the WWF/WWE-era Jericho offense that he mostly uses these days. It’s the style switch that he would sometimes use in matches with people like CM Punk and Daniel Bryan, showing why people fell in love with his work to begin with all those years ago.
Another positive of this match is that it is completely different than the previous two on this list. If you look at this like a pay-per-view card, this would be a nice change of pace. A “come down” match without being slow and boring, giving fans something special in a different fashion.
