8. Cesaro As A Babyface
The popularity of Cesaro started earlier this year when fans were realizing that he was one of the best in-ring performers in the company. When he started doing the “Cesaro Swing” spot in every match it gave fans something to cheer about too, so it seemed like he was on his way to turning. They put him in the Elimination Chamber main event in February and his momentum continued at WrestleMania when he won the Andre the Giant battle royal. On that same show he attacked his tag partner Jack Swagger. The next night on Raw he was presented the Andre trophy by Hulk Hogan, who put him over huge. It looked like the face turn was on.
As it turns out, that face turn was put on hold and we have no idea when it’s going to happen now. We figured that it would happen after he became a Paul Heyman Guy because they could have used that as a way to turn Heyman against him and ultimately put Cesaro in a featured babyface role. Instead that duo just sort of ended without any angle.
It appears as though Cesaro will stay heel for now. He’s a guy that could turn face at any time just because of that Cesaro Swing that is always good for a pop and the fact that fans realize just how talented he is.
