6. Batista Winning The WWE Title

When a big name like Batista comes back to WWE after being away for nearly four years you know that it’s being done for a reason. In his mind he probably thought he would be rewarded with a WWE Title run simply because any time former big names come back they are usually in a featured role. When he won the Royal Rumble, even though he was booed, it looked as though he was on his way to winning the WWE Title at WrestleMania. That didn’t happen after all.
It seemed likely that Batista was going to be the WWE Champion at some point. At least in his mind that’s probably what he thought. He did speak openly about things being planned for him and then they changed. Obviously he was referring to the WWE Championship. It was smart of WWE to put Daniel Bryan over for the WWE Title at WrestleMania 30, but it came at the expense Batista.
Batista didn’t come back to WWE to be just one of the guys. He wants to be the man again. They can say all they want, but you know that’s how a guy like him thinks about these things. It’s probably frustrating to him although he’s likely doing just fine since he was a part of the mega hit Guardians of the Galaxy movie and his film career is likely to take off very soon.
