9. Cody Rhodes Feuding With Goldust

When The Rhodes brothers teamed together in the second half of 2013 and helped add a spark to the tag division, the feeling was that it would lead to a feud this year. That’s just how tag team wrestling goes. You team up, you succeed and then when the time is right there is a turn.
The feeling amongst fans was that it would be Cody turning on his older brother Goldust since Goldust was more popular. They even did a storyline where the team was on a losing streak and Cody kept blaming himself. Then they set it up by saying Goldust would have this new spectacular partner that Cody would pick himself. We figured that would lead to Cody turning on his brother under some new gimmick.
Now Cody is locked in as this Stardust character that teams with Goldust. They’re two of the most ridiculous, over the top characters in WWE. It’s entertaining, but it’s also pretty weird too.
Since Goldust is in his mid-40s it wouldn’t surprise us if he retires soon, but the heel turn and the feud between the brothers may be off the table now.
