2. Versatility

Another asset to Brock Lesnar’s character is its versatility. He’s the baddest heel on the planet, but he’s also someone who FANS are in awe of. That’s an important aspect of what makes Brock a great choice as champion. Someone like Randy Orton is similarly a great heel, but he lacks the awe inspiring quality.
Another aspect of Brock’s character is his ability to always get a reaction. For all the kids BOOING him, there’s a whole section of adults chanting his name. That kind of appeal is what sustained John Cena for so long, except in the opposite direction, kids loved him, adults hated him. The same polarising effect should now similarly pay dividends for Lesnar, allowing him to fully engage two different demographics. That’s good for business, everyone wants to see the new champ in one way or another.
One other thing that Lesnar has going for him is merchandising. WWE haven’t done nearly enough in exploiting his fame. Now that he’s champion it’s the perfect time to get a new batch of t-shirts and Lesnar memorabilia ON TV. You’ve got to think that both WWE and casual fans would buy into such merchandise.
