10 WWE vs NJPW Matches That Need To Happen 1

by Unknown  |  at  15:38

1. Daniel Bryan VS Kazuchika Okada

This one wouldn’t get the same level of hype and publicity as Cena VS Tanahashi would, but this one would end up being one of the greatest matches in professional history, and that is said without any hyperbole whatsoever. If you’ve seen at least one match from both men, chances are that you could easily see a five-star classic if they were to ever square off. It wouldn’t be the first card to feature a match that would probably close the show based on how much talk it got, only to have another “co-main event” come through and be the match remembered for all eternity, and it wouldn’t be the last card, either.
As far as actual, pure in-ring skills are concerned, you probably won’t find two better on the planet, in any promotion, than Bryan and Okada. They can do it all in the ring, and they do it with such precision that it’ll blow your mind. The wrestling world hasn’t seen moves look so flawless and crisp in a ring since Eddie Guerrero passed away, which is some ridiculously high praise to give people, especially one that is only 26 years old, but it’s the truth.
Earlier, we discussed how much a return from CM Punk could help his own career, and therefore, his match on this card, and the card itself. The same can be said about Daniel Bryan here. Again, for the sake of discussion, let’s say that this would be Bryan’s first match back from an injury that many felt could cost him his entire career. If that isn’t extra motivation for him to go out there and tear the house down, what is? Like Punk, this is the type of match Bryan would salivate over, giving him a chance to be more Bryan Danielson than Daniel Bryan again, even for just a single night.
